Question about Mitsubishi Cars & Trucks
I have a Mitsubishi Montero truck the radio is in the off position but I do have the code how I take out of the off position I have disconnect the battery and set in the truck for and hour with the key ignition and nothing is working please help me
. Every time you disconnect the battery means that the radio thinks some one is stealing it so the anti theft code kicks in. Next turn on the ignition to accessories or the run position and either turn the volume knob or push it in . The radio dial will light up and ask for a code . Enter that code as per the instructions and then the radio will work. If the radio dial doesn't light up check for fuse and wiring problems

SOURCE: Mitsubishi montero radio codes
You will need to pull the radio and record the serial number and model number off the radio chassis, take that info and your proof of ownership for the car and the dealer should be able to give you that info for free by using the manufacturer online info service they have.

call 1888mitsu2001, choose option #4, then hit * (star). give the
operator the last 8 numbers in your vin and they will provide the radio
code for FREE!
DO NOT PAY FOR THE CODE ONLINE OR GO TO THE DEALER (they will also charge you).
- you will also need to provide the serial and part number of your radio (takes about 5 minutes to take apart an eclipse dash...1 screw in the bottom of the HVAC panel) if you call the 1888mitsu2001 it will provide basic instructions on how to accomplish this.
- if your radio says "off" (meaning you entered the wrong code too many times) you need to put your key in the ignition and turn it to ACC mode for approx. 45min - 1hr and then your radio will say "code" at which point you can enter the code to unlock the radio.
