There are 2 different transmissions for these trucks.
First remove trans pan and catch fluid in drain pan.
For the 4L60-E and the 4L80-E the the 1-2 and 3-4 shift solenoids and the furthest to the rear of the valve body, unplug electrical connector, then remove the retaining clip on each solenoid and remove.

My 2006 Faord Taurus will not start - turn the key and all you hear is ticking sound in the dash. I can turn the key backward to get dash power for radio, etc., but nothing but ticking when turning the...

U have an unservicable silonide it sounds, but clean terminals on the battery first and check for voltage if u have a multi tester for proper voltage............If everything works out fine with the battery then it may be the silonide........U can also cross out the silonide with a screwdriver....You will fint the silonide by tracing the pos terminal from the battery..........You will have some sparking at first, but if the starter ingages it is the silonide...Hope this helps.

It won't turn over, or even try. Battery and starter have both been tested and are good.

If engine is not seazed the silonide would be unservicable not letting the voltage througe to yuor starter.....Hope this helps.

Trying to find where the starter is,I followed the positive battery cable?

follow the positive cable to the silonide and that is connected to the starter it is the only part that will be going into the transmission by the fly wheel

sounds like your shift silonid went out take it to dealer have the codes read

Transmission censors are messed up and our '99 honda accord lx

sounds like bad shift silonids or they could have trash in them.try taking them off and see if there is any trash on the screens inside.they will be on the top closer to the front of the car they look like 4 little gray cans lol
