Question about Toyota Prius
Car was in an accident. Won't start. Is there a fuel shutoff switch that needs to be manually reset. If so, where is it located. Thanks
Yes, some vehicle are equipped with a fuel shut off switch located close to the pedals with an hole on it that only the ignition key can be inserted but on some model check EFI fuse from the fuse box.

It is not tripped if the red button is pushed down. The switch might just be defective. How many wires are going to the switch? And what colors are they?

Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button

just press the button to reset it. Per your owner manual. Should only trip in an accident.
WHen you turn on the key, can you hear the fuel pump run for 5 seconds. The pump is in the fuel tank. listen there while someone turns the key on. report back.

The fuel pump inertia switch that shuts off the pump in the case of an accident or impact is located under the right side of dash I have also
found them behind the right kick panel. There is also a fuel pump
shutoff relay under the hood on the left firewall, and a relay on the
right fender apron behind a plastic cover. Hope this helps.
