It could be mechanical or fuel related.
Do you know for a fact that cylinder has normal compression and no head gasket leak ?

Well the basic rule is compression fuel and spark. So if a cylinder is not producing power, one of the three are not happening. And the statement about overheating concerned me because once a head gasket gets too hot, it stretches and leaks. And that can happen without the head being cracked.

SOURCE: Help 10 codes on 323i!

These codes will have to be cleared and the car driven through a drive cycle, maybe a couple of times, is the check engine light off? Also you should check your MAF sensor it may need to be cleaned or replaced and makes sure there are no holes in your intake tubing. Hope this helps, let me know.

Eng code p0355 and p0305 2007 mbz ml350 eng runs rough but after restarting runs ok.

p0355 indicates that engine misfire is present.

p0305 indicates that the misfire is in the cylinder number 5

Have the spark plug tested/replaced and test the cylinder number 5 spark plug coil.

These codes are making me lean towards the ignition coil pack.My stepson's 2001 Sable 3.0 v6 had one cylinder misfiring(5-code P0305),which shares a coil with cylinder 1(code P0301).I diagnosed it by trading wire 1 and 5 at the coil, and the code changed to P0301.You have codes for the two cylinders on the same coil,so this is most likely it.(these codes would also trigger P0300(Multiple Misfires Detected) and P0316(Misfire Detected First 1000 Revs)).

Have a DTC po305 (misfire #5 CYLINDER) on 2006 chevy equinox, So far I have replaced the coil pack, spark plug, plug wire and injector. Still have the p0305.No apparent vacum leaks. Checked injector pulse...

On the 3.4 engine used in the equinox the crossover pipe from the front manifold dumps in at the corner of #5 cylinder, therefore this area in subject to more heat than any other cylinder. #5 is very commonly known for burnt exhuast valves because of this, usually only noticable at idle and smoothed out around 1000-1200 rpm

I have a 1996 crown vic i need to know these touble codes po305 po304

P0304 means that cylinder 4 has a misfire and P0305 is a cylinder 5 misfire. What this means is you may have bad spark plugs, or bad plug wires, or you may need to replace your distributor cap and rotor. I would start with plugs and wires.

Cylinder number 5 is misfiring. Check spark plug, spark plug wire and ignition coil for the number 5 cylinder. The number 5 cylinder is the closest to the front of the car on the drivers side. With engine running in dark (at night) take a spray bottle of water and lightly mist spark plug wires and coil and look for arcing. Autozone will test coil for free.
