Engine dies wile driving

Is the check engine light on, and if it is, get it read to find out what the codes are.

1.check heating plugs
2.check fuel filter
3. if timing chain is too long
4. engine died (no sufficient compression )

Have you checked the fuel filter? It may be time for a change. In a Manual transmission when it dies any time as long as your still rolling at a decent rate of speed you should be able to push the clutch in to start the engine back on.

Have you checked your "knock sensor" or cam sensor? It tracks cam and or crank movement for timing.

ON MY 91 DID THE SAME THEIR WAS A INLINE FILTER CHANGED AND NEVER DIED AGIN

Have the mass air flow meter checked for performance or throw a used one on... very typical problem on those cars.

Is the car over heating?

your fuel pump could be clogged and/or going bad

1st thing to do is have the system tested for the code that caused the check engine light to come, you may also have a fuel pump starting to fail or many other things, the check engine light may be the key. How many wiles on the car?
