the fuel filter is just before the fuel tank in the line it should be easy to see it looks like a miniature barrel about 3 inches long

1978 Pontiac Transam, wiper motor, wiper switch and transmission all work fine.. can not get the wipers to work, Where are we going wrong. There is power to all 3 sources all wires are working.


Interesting problem! Since you have power to all three, it isn't the fuse. I can't download the diagrams right now, but I think there is a wiper pulse module in the 1978 Pontiac Transam. While it mainly controls the intermitant or delay wiper mode, if it shorted out it could cause nothing to work right. You need to verify that you do have that module first.

the fuel filter on that car is inside the inlet housing on the carburetor fuel line inlet undo the fuel line then use a 1in. wrench to take the filter out of the housing don't lose that washer or spring that holds the filter in place

My car will turn over but will not crank. I have changed the spark plugs and also the fuel filter 1983 pontiac grand prix. Not sure what it will be please help


if you have a 3.1 or the 2.8 the coil packs are on the bottom front of the motor. see if your get fire from that ok . but iam pretty sure its your coil . have a nice day

Stops running after 3 miles


sounds carb float i would buy a quality carb like rochester if u have some rebuild its going cause almose as much as new carb
