Drive cycle is performed by driving the car at hiway and city speeds over a few days and perhaps 50 miles or so, if the system detects the same issue after a few days of driving and completion of drive cycle then the check engine light will come back on.

the code only indicates a problem in the electronic feed back from the EGR valve position sensor, it DOES NOT say what is causing that, that is why there is extensive diagnostic routines to find the source of fault codes like you have, your problem is either the sensor that signals the computer the position of the valve or the wiring to that sensor (sensor sets on top of valve) or the PCM (computer control module) is defective.
