If you have a mass air flow sensor in the big boot from air cleaner housing to throttle body, likely there is no map sensor.

I took my car to have it checked at Autozone. The results were OEM Number to Cross: P0102. What is wrong with my car?

P0102 refers to the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. It may be dirty, faulty, or have a bad connection. Possible remedies are:

  • Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
  • Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.
  • Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.
  • Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)
  • Replace the MAF sensor.

Check engine light

No the light is fine its the computer or there is a intake leak somewhere causing the mass air flow sensor to not work correctly, also a cracked hose may be giving a false reading. Get a mechanic to test it with a voltmeter and ohmmeter using a vacuum gauge to make sure it is the mass air flow sensor
