you have to take out the old, which will break and then install the new one. It just snaps into the mirror holder.

SOURCE: the drivers side door mirror glass(not the whole

Either it's a cheap replacement mirror that can't be tightened. Or, the original (oe) has been hit hard enough to displace on of the plastic attachments behind the mirror. Adjust the mirror to the extreme right so you can peek behind the mirror to look for an displaced attachment. Line the 2 points up and firmly with a gloved hand, push into place until you hear it "click" into place. Good luck

The windshield wiper on the drivers side does not work. Sometimes when you turn them on it wigs out and flings clear over to the side view mirror. Is their any way I can fix it myself?

Hi, the wiper arm is held on with a 13mm nut. with the wipers off, remove the plastic cap on the nut, and simply tighten this nut,(with the arm in thecorrect position, you should be able to move the arm by hand, while it is loose. Good luck...

The glass in the driver side rear view mirror is loose. how do you tighten it up?

The driver and passenger side mirrors have a small rubber plug in the bottom center of the mirror housing. Remove the plug and there is a phillips head screw holding the mirror assembly. Tighten this screw about 1/8 turn and it will keep the mirror from moving around. If you remove the screw you can remove the mirror and drive motors. Use a bit of thread-lock to keep the screw from loosing again. Reinstall the rubber plug.

All the power controls on the drivers side have quit working. All 4 window controls, power mirrors and door locks. all the other doors work fine. this is on a 2001 poniac bonneville Ckecked the fuses under...

Have you tried taking the door apart to see if the connection has come loose or off completely?  That is where I would start as long as the controls on all the other doors are working properly.

Need to replace passenger side view mirror 200 GMC Jimmy Diamond

On my '97, there was a triangular shaped piece of plastic on the inside trim that had to be removed. I think all three mounting screws were under that. It's been a few years, but I think that was how it was done.
I remember it was pretty easy though.
