That is only 10 milliamps-much less than the normal milliamps required for the computer memory, radio presets, clock, and the security theft system. Those normally carry approximately 50 milliamps (0.05 amps). The drain must be elsewhere. Youtube has some videos on locating "parasitic drains". Or if you google it, probably a lot of hits.

The only way really to get to this is to Pull the Door Panel and Check the Wiring and See if there is not a Relay Inside of the Door Panel. You will need some new Door Panel Fasteners to replace the ones that Break when you remove the Panel. You can get these at any Auto Parts Store and they don't Cost that much. Let me know what you Find!

SOURCE: 10 amp draw draining battery overnight on 99 tahoe

I have done this before, put about a 10 amp charger on the battery. Pull the courtesy light fuse first. Look at the battery charger, it is probably charging several amps, pull one fuse at a time. When the charging amps drops down you found the fuse the controls the problem. I had a car several years ago that someone pulled the seat belt all the way out, somehow it was pulling a load and draining the battery overnight.

My Passat 2006 kept draining battery overnight, after a new battery & alternater still drains new battery overnight? Can't seem to find the problem? Any idea?

You need to disconnect the battery negative lead and place an ammeter between battery and lead, note the current draw with every thing switched off, then start removing one fuse at a time from fuse box and see if ammeter drops significantly if not refit fuse and remove the next one and repeat this until you find the one that causes a significant drop, then you will have found the circuit that is draining the battery, you need to check this circuit to find cause of power draw and repair as required, let me know how you get on

BFC BATT FUSE 10 AMP

Maybe shouldn't answer and wait for someone to tell us both what BFC means, but it would not be for the BCM. Sounds like what some cars call the IOD fuse-ignition off draw-the small battery draw that is used for the computer memory, radio pre-sets, and the clock, theft alert system. Believe it would be about that same draw as yours, not enough to drain a battery. Still have your owner's manual? It should have a listing of the fuses.

Battery drain on 1995 buick lesabre, where do you start to find it

Disconnect the red battery cable.Take a test light and hook 1end to the + batt post and the other end to the +batt cable. This will make the test light illuminate. Pull 1 fuse at a time until the light turns off. This will pin point the electrical circuit that has "parasitic draw". (be sure to reinstall each fuse that has no change)

I need a fuse panel layout for a 2005 ford focus ZX?

1 amp over an extended period (like overnight) is an excessive draw, and would drain the battery in a few days. What happens after the one minute? Does it continue to draw, or is that as long as you checked it?
If fuse F7 is the ignition off draw (IOD), then you are on the right track. The IOD serves to feed the computer's keep alive memory, the radio presets, the clock, and the alarm system. But the draw is measured in milli-amps. About 200 milli-amps or less is normal (and that is 0.2 amps), and that would not drain the battery in such a short time.
I would have a shop check this out with an ammeter and a device called a Shunt Bar. Ask for a battery drain test, or an off-draw test; well, explain your problem and have them check for too much current being used when everything is shut off.
Good luck.

I have about a 6 amp drain on my Battery at all times and after a few weeks my battery discharges to the point it won't even click the starter. My engine light is lit up on the dash also, I had a handheld...

A 6 amp draw would be enough to drain the battery overnight. are you sure its not lower?

The easiest way to find a draw is to start removing fuses one at a time until the draw goes away making sure to replace the fuse before moving onto the next so you don't end up with a pile of fuses that you don't know where they go. Once you have narrowed down the fuse that eliminates the draw you can then start to focus on all the devices that circuit powers up.

Typically you would want to see a draw of less than .050 amps and in your situation you should see less that .030 amps or even less after the draw is gone.

Post back after your find out what fuse eliminates the draw and I'll do my best to get you some more info on that circuit.

Replaced battery on my 05 focus, had the altenator rebuilt by a specialist, battery is still being drained, i got it fully charged, then it worked for about a week, then dead again, my altenator is pumping...

You could have a bad battery they can be faulty from new,to check the draw on your battery get a amp meter and with the ign off and all doors closed ,remove the earth lead off the battery, connect the meter to the pole and other lead to the battery lead and check the flow,[should be no more than 1 amp with everything off .If there is a draw then move to the fuse box and remove each fuse till the draw goes get a buddy to keep an eye on the meter till the needle drops and what ever fuse that is removed when the needle drops then thats the problem circuit.Check the trunk light first.
