My car reading the following codesp1489 codep0601 p0725 p1490 p1391 p0700 p 0703,car cut off while driving oil seems to be thin smells a Lil like gas was told its a sensor but not which one Let me know any...


If the oil smells like gas , pull the dip stick an put a lighter to it ! If it catches fire there is gas in the oil ! you don't won't to drive the car it could explode ! .
P1391 is for camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor. the code is for either sensor or both

With all these codes present , without looking under the hood , I would think you have a wiring harness problem ! I have seen critters make nests in the engine compartment , they like to chew wiring ! Have seen air filter boxes full of dog food . Good luck your going to need it !

My car turns off after i turn it on ,or when stoping ,chrysler lhs 99


the code 1490 is for the low speed fan. does it over heat. the other code is for battery being disconnected. has the battery be disconnected if it has not check the battery post to see if they are tight

The battery cables were replaced by a genious LOL and we are not sure if they were put together right. I do now that the genious started the car and it made alot of noise. Turned off the car and switched...


was it shifting before the battery cable was changed. ok code p1495 is a egr leak nothing big..p1489 and p1490 are for the radiator fans the relays are blown....and p1684 is for the battery being disconnected. but the slipping transmission is your transmission control module that needs to be replace, this is my link . i am a self employed mechanichttps://www.facebook.com/TedsRepairs

did you google that first or read the FSM book first? seems not.

My check engine light came on after i put freon in the car for the air condition. my friend has a computer that we hooked up to the car to find out what the problem was and this code came up P1490, what...


When you get that code it means that the computer isn't detecting the relay kicking in and starting the cooling fan.
In most cases replacing the relay for the fan will cure that problem and you can erase the code with scanner once the problem is repaired
P1490 Low Speed Fan CTRL Relay Circuit - you need to check and make sure the cooling fan is coming on when it suppose to.
