SOURCE: 88 cadillac deville, ac blower fan wont shut off,

Ralph,
Most common cause of this is the blower fan (proper name for the fan you refer to) continuing to run is a shorted out Electronic Climate Control Module. This solid state device replaces the older style fan speed resistor block (at about 4 times the price) This unit is found on the top of the HVAC box under the hood. (HVAC means heating, ventilation and air conditioning) The HVAC box is found on the passenger side of the firewall. Look behind the A/C's accumulator. It will have an electrical wiring plug on top of it. It will be fastened to the HVAC box with a few 7mm hex head screws. Very easy to change.
FYI, do yourself a favor and replace the blower fan motor at the same time. The Electronic Climate Control Module usually fails because the motor is drawing to many amps of current. This is because it's bushings are worn out or the brushes are worn out.
This is very common on Cadillacs and Buicks.
Charlie
PS Not sure why car won't start. Either you drained the battery or blew a fuse which controls starting the engine. Need more info regarding the "no start" condition.

SOURCE: 2001 cadillac deville, overheats without loss of coolant

First, provided their are no visible coolant leaks and/or loss of coolant with no signs of leaks, I would thoroughly flush cooling system and replace coolant, then check and/or replace thermostat (you can place thermostat in boiling water to check for proper function), if you have tried these 2 steps and still are experiencing overheating you may need to replace your water pump which can be a tricky job if you're unfamiliar and try to do it yourself, however, I could walk you through it if necessary. Also visually check your radiator hoses for bulges, wear ,etc along with heater hoses etc. You may want to also check radiator fins to see if they are dirty/obstructed and clean if necessary. Let me know if I can assist you further and how it works out

SOURCE: cadillac seville won't start

I've got an even cheaper and easier solution, instead of buying a new cylinder, find that plug and snip the orange wires going to the old cylinder. Then remove the resistor chip from the key and solder each of the the wires to each side. this will fool the car into thinking the correct resistor chip is in place, allowing you to use the original key or any copies with or without resistor chips. i just did this to my caddy and it roared to life! :)

SOURCE: 1999 cadillac deville a/c off low refrig error

I had the same problem. The mechanic could not get the compressor to take in new freon. It has to do with the car's memory. You have to reset it by disconnecting the hot wire from the battery which for thirty seconds. This resets the cars internal memory, so it won't remember that it's out of freon. Reconnect it turn on the car and turn on the air the compressor will start.

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

Sounds like a fault with the Antilock Braking System. The vibration in the pedal is the ABS working. With your foot on the brake pedal, it releases and re-applies the brakes to stop a skid from the wheels locking up. You need professional service for brakes.

Seems to be a known issue on all Cadillac and requires the ABS module to be replaced.

2000 cadillac security issue wont start .how do u bypass security system so it starts or what is the problem causing this problem?

Many reasons why a Cadillac security system activates, and the procedure to reset it can get very complicated. You can try disconnecting the battery (negative cable only) for a couple of minutes and then reconnect to see if the problem goes away. If not, you will need to have a GM dealer reset it.

My heating stopped working in my 1992 Cadillac Eldorado what is the problem

Try checking the heater control switch/valve, sometimes located in line with the heater hoses (it is a fairly common defect). You may also have a clogged or bad heater coil. (similar to a small radiator) or maybe a fault in the heat system's controls.

I have a coolant out the exhaust problem I know it's the head gasket. What caused the headgasket to go bad?

The Cadillac Northstar 4.6L V8 is known to chew threw headgaskets because of the head bolts pull out of the block from the threads, the block is not threaded enough to "hold" the bolt under extreme pressure. Many of the mechanics I have known consider it a design flaw. I personally avoid any FWD Cadillac after 1995, the last year of the somewhat reliable 4.9 V8. If you like big American FWD cars, strongly consider the similar Buick Park Avenue, powered by the venerable 3800 V6... after you dump your Cadillac of course.

Error P0506 2002 Cadillac Seville SLS just started and also have check charging system

P0506 relates to the Idle air control system. The problem could be a dirty idle vale or the beginning of the motor failing. Try washing the motor out with some brake cleaner or solvent. Do this in a well ventilated area, be sure to reconnect it correctly. Hope this helps...

My cadillac concours deville say low refrigerant ac compressor off and tried to put some in is there a certain way to do it

Yes, if it is like my 1990 cadillac deville, you must first disconnect the battery for 3 or so minutes and reconnect it to clear the error message and to reset the a/c system so it will turn on when R134a is added under pressure.

Cadillac did that in 1990 so the compressor would not run without refrigerant in the system. It's a safety feature designed to save a compressor if there is a leak in the system.

If you try to add refrigerant without resetting the a/c system, then the compressor will not engage.

i'm having the same issue. Dealer said the battery won't hold it's voltage; swapped in a new one. But also said that's independent of the "service security system" fault; which they say might be the ignition module. Were you able to fix your problem?

Overcharging Alternator

Very short lesson on the charging system. Remember this, The higher the voltage the less the amps.in turn low voltage, high amps. When the Alternator is charging at or above 15v, It is virtually pure voltage and as a charging device is cooking your battery, not charging it. The alternator, though defective, is safe and your battery is in harms way. When an alt. is charging at or below13 volts, The charging amperage is approaching max output of the alternater, which, if maintained at that rate will overheat and cause alt, failure, The proper charging range is 13.6 to 14.2. Each end is the limit just short of maximum and eminent failure. Example: charging at 12v means the alternarer is at max output and is in danger of sling solder, litteraly. When you smell dulphur coming from the battery, The alt. is running wide open on the voltage and your batt ison death row. So, back to your problem. One more thing. All accessories that are designed to operate on 12v are art risk of being damaged from excess voltage. Some have a voltage limiter to protect against surges but not all. Oh, That is one heck of a hot alt at 140 amps. Is that original equipment? Well, I know I may have rambled a bit but I hope it helped you understand how it works so you can come to the conclusion I have. The Alternator has a bad regulator and is in whole or part defective. Good Luck, Ned
