Not enough info to answer. What year model car do you have? And what components are you trying to install?

How do you remove factory stereo from a 1979 Lincoln Mark V

I believe the Lincoln is the same as the ford. Most likely behind a vanity plate you will see four small holes. There is a set of wrenches you can get that are about 6 bucks that are in a U shape. You insert the two of them in the 4 holes and that will release the clips. Then you simply pull the stereo out.

How to remove radio from 1993 lincoln continental

  • 1 Lift the Town Car's hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal. Loosen the cable's clamp with the wrench and lift it from the battery. Set the cable aside and move to the inside of the Lincoln.
  • 2 Pry the trim panel from the stereo assembly.
  • 3 Insert the Ford DIN removal tools into the two holes at either side of the stereo face. Push the tools into the openings until they lock into place. Pull outward on the tools while pulling the stereo from the Lincoln's stereo dock.
  • 4 Disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the outlets on the back of the factory stereo to finish the stereo removal.
