Question about Cars & Trucks
Someone gave me an old Gilson snowblower. It ran really well on the first tank. I filled it up with a multi-ratio synthetic mix and it ran great for about 20 minutes and then... nothing. It wasn't smoking or stuttering. It just shut off and won't continue to run when I try to start it again. Was the multi-ratio synthetic and bad idea or could there be something else I'm overlooking? Thank You.

SOURCE: Contaminated fuel
Your best bet is to contact the station where the fuel was purchaced and demand that they pay to have the tank removed and cleaned.Plus ,gasoline can cause internal (diesel) engine damage. The engine should also be tested for damage, especially with regard to cylinder compression pressure.

SOURCE: 1991 Jeep Fuel Control Issue
Who ever thought of putting an electric fuel pump inside a tank of gas........
Check your other gauges for accuracy. They do that when a ground is loose.
Check the wiring from the fuel tank along the longitudinal frame for frays and shorts. Plugs are secured.
Under the hood, passenger side, check the fuel pump relay. Switch it with one of the others to test it.
Bring the vehicle to an auto parts store. Ask them to break out he code reader. Check for diag codes
