3.0L engine

What kind of link is between the gas pedal and engine? Is it a cable or is it electronically connected (like on toyota's?) If it is electronic maybe something is loose or simply doesn't work. If it is a cable then check if throttle plate is opening with cable actuation.
Speed counter? I think you mean speedometer. if so on a car that old the cable probably broke off they don't last forever. check it at th eback of the cluster or the transmission where is goes in its a cable so easy to figure out if you get both ends and one turns while other doesn't its broke
i had to take mine to a shop, the one crank was off 180 degrees becareful u dont mess it up, im not having valve truble possibly due to me trying to set it myself, plus the tensior is a pain to get to, email me if you need more info: [email protected]
