some vehicles have crank angle sensor fitted to belhousing, by removing trans can damage the sensor or may be forgot to connect the socket. also if its a manual and has a dual mass flywheel then excessive play on dual mass can upset the crank angle sensor timing

Where is the trans-axle belhousing located?

Trans-axle transmissions are transmissions and differentials in one housing with the axles coming directly out of that housing, its the housing that bolts to the engine with 2 axles coming out.
Only in these layouts:
front-engine, front-wheel, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive and rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive.

How do you separate the transmission and the torque converter? The torque converter is stuck with the transmission. Is there an easy way to take them apart.? It is an 1998 Ford Brando II 2.9

is the assembly still connected to the motor? if so then remove the starter and you should be able to get to the torque converter nuts (or bolts). then you will be able to remove the tranmission assembly. if the transmission is out and the converter is stuck in it, then you would have to beat it off some how. transmisson is going to have to be built if unit is stuck like this anyway. good luck. hope i helped you

Where is the starter located on 2006 mitsubishi lancer ralliart?

The starter is located on the joint of the engine and the transmission and is bolted onto the belhousing/torque converter housing, about midway in the engine compartment. There is quite a lot of panel and cover material you will have to remove to gain access to it. This is more or less what you are looking for:-

Transmission install on a 96 camaro 4.3 liter manual shift

first u have to disconect the drive axle. and the suport brackets. im thinking 13mm. or posibly 15mm . undo the shift cable located on the side of transmission. now unbolt the belhousing do botom first. u are gonna need a few long extensions and some one to help guide it to the bolts. when u remove the suport mounts u should be able to see the top bolts. also u need to use a flat screw driver to turn the fly wheel. and unblot all 3 of the torque convert bolts . should be 15mm or 18mm

I need to remove my transmission from my 1994 Toyota Tercel but we have removed the bolts from it and it still is not releasing. What should I do?

As long as you are SURE all the bolts are out and the torque converter bolts you should stick a pry bar between the belhousing and engine block and gently pry the 2 apart, the dow pins tend to get stuck.
This should require little force if you have to pry too hard you may have a bolt still in.

Hello, you probably have the wires on the starter connected wrong or the starter solenoid is stuck. check the wires on the starter.
