Question about Cars & Trucks
The first thing to do is fix the sensors that are producing the lots of errors as reported by the code reader (laptop). When the units are replaced/repaired then run the fault codes again to see what hasn't been fixed Repeat the process until there are no codes left to read. If you have 2 fans in front of the radiator ensure that one fan is not for the ac unit and it will run on ignition if the ac is switched on. If it is a radiator fan then check the coolant temperature sensor switch and the relay for the fan.

SOURCE: 2006 subaru B9 Tribeca Error 66
Hello, I know exactly what your talking about! and why no one else did... The error code is being displayed on your trip/odo LCD screen at the bottom of your right gauge pod if I remember correctly. Only, it\'s not Er 66... it\'s (Er bb) which is a malfunction with your vacuum pump system. I truly hope this is the same concern you are asking about, if so I am happy I could help. If it is a different problem please let me know so I can look into this matter further. I\'ve added an "error chart guide" so you will have proof this time when/if you decide to return to the dealer... Good luck!! and I hope this info helps...(subytech1)...

The error concerns the intake valve timing control solenoid (VTC). If you have the 16v transverse engine the solenoid is located on the left of the engine at the back of the cylinder head: look at the four injectors at the rear of the cylinder head and then imagine a fifth one at the left and this is the position of the VTC. If has a electrical connector to the top of it and an oil pipe connection to its side. This device is used to adjust the valve timing through oil pressure action on the cam assembly. A high reading (error code p0077) indicates that the 'ground' wire is either disconnected or broken to the VTC. Disconnect the electrical connector and ensure the the the plug pins and socket are free of oily grime or corrosion that might interfere with electrical conduction. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery before doing such work. When everything is clean reconnect everything, clear the code and test.
