My ford explorer only blows heat when turned all the way up

My truck does blow heat, take a long time to heat up, but only blows heat when set at 90....its digital. at 85 blows cold. is it a heater core problem, a thermostat problem, a flush problem?....also side note my link from the sway bar broke is it something that needs to be fixed immediately or do i have time to fix it.

Sway bars are there to give cornering stability when steering and as such is a safety requirement. The link will be cheap and easy to replace so why waste time and risk safety to put it off. As to the heating problem and I would be checking the control module that allows the heater tap to turn on as it appears that there is insufficient coolant getting into the heater either from a tap half on or blocked hoses/core.

SOURCE: ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Your problem is a faulty heater control valve. The design used on these vehicles allows for hot water to flow constantly and compete with the evaporator as there is no blender door. You have to replace the valve and possibly the control head. Meanwhile, you can bypass the valve to have cold air
