you have to go under the bumper and and look behind then look for the back of the lightbalb connection. if you see that. pull on it carefully. if rusted, spray some wd forty on it but make sure you dont get the wires with the wd forty

I had that problem on my 2004 crv, I was told it because the crv is not shifting into gear (overdrive). Cost me over $200 to fix it.

Distributor

The firing order is 1-3-4-2 and the number 1 terminal on the cap is on the bottom left when viewing the cap from the passenger side when it is mounted on the distributor.

The ignition wire firing order for the 2001 Honda CRV 2.0 Ltr is 1-3-4-2, the cylinders in order are 4, 3, 2, 1, and the distributor fires at 1 to 3 for the back and 2 to 4 for the front. Also, everything rotates clockwise.
