SOURCE: 1997 Grand Prix Problems! Please Help!

I've had the same problems with my 97 grand prix, and I believe I did have the crank sensor replaced to fix it. I also have the same problem with my SRS airbag light during the summer when it is extremely hot. It turns off in the fall when it cools down (done this the last 3 summers), I'm guessing a faulty sensor.

SOURCE: When I try to accelerate my car has no power!

There could be a couple of reasons. Yes a tune up would be nice. But my not fix the problem. If you are not losing acceleration on straight away but on hill, then it could be the torqe converter. Also have your MASS airflow sensor checked and air filter.

Also check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Get a fuel gauge and look for a port on the fuel rail for a port that looks like the valve on the tire. Screw it in and crank the car. You will have to call the part store to find out what pressure it is supposed to be. If there is low or eratic pressure the its the filter or pump

Why does my car bog down and wont accelerate up a hill?

Usually a sign of a fuel problem, either too much or too little.
Too much could be several problems including a clogged air filter, too little could be a weak fuel pump or other issue.
A mechanic would check fuel pressure and air flow first.

1992 gmc suburban has no power and bogs in cold weather

You need to perform an OBDII diagnostic test and look at the stored faults. Sounds like a temp sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor. Also dirty air filter needs to be changed every 40,000 miles. be sure to delete stored faults and recheck OBDII periodically for new faults.

If it is not starting and bogs down on the road, I would check the fuel pressure and replace the filter next.

next time you're going down the road and it's making that noise, just turn slightly to one direction, and then the other. If the noise disappears temporarily, it's probably a wheel bearing.
