Start at the radiator and follow the top hose towards the engine. Its usually where the top hose ends.

Is the thermostat located where the LOWER radiator hose meets the block, not the upper? 4 cylider 2.4 engine

The thermostat on '94 SE-V6, and the thermostat is where the lower radiator hose contacts the block (on most cars and trucks they seem to be on the upper hose). You have to do a little bit of digging to get to it: i.e. taking off the pulley bracket and a few wires, the fan shroud, and most likely the upper radiator hose as well. It kindof sucks. Good luck.

I need the engine diagram for a 2002 nissan xterra V6. I need to replace the thermostat & need to locate exactly where it is.

Gotta be honest, have been a mechanic for 25+ years and have never changed a thermostat in the 3.3 liter. Why you would need to remove upper and lower hoses as well as all the drive belts I have no idea but am guessing they are in the way. Anyhow, below is all the information I found in the service manual for you. I hope this helps and good luck.

1989 nissan V6 pickup therostat location?

The lower radiator hose goes to the thermostat. If you follow it, it connects to a metal pipe, then back to a hose and right to the thermostat housing. They are hard to change though. Took me 3 hours to change mine.

Just needed to know ware the thormostat is located ?

if it has the V6 it located at the front of the engine behind the timing belt cover.
if it is the 4 cyl it is located under the front part of the intake manifold.
either way the lower radiator hose is hooked up to the housing were the thermostat is housed.

Seized thermostat

Not always. If you have a KA24E (2.4L 4 cyl) engine, the thermostat is located where the lower hose connects to the engine. I have had to change mine. It's easiest to get to if you remove the power steering pump and set it to the side. The thermostat housing is directly below where the PS pump mounts.

The thermostat is located at the end of the top hose that goes from your radiator to the thermostat housing. The hose has 2 clamps one on the radiator and one on the thermostat housing. you have to remove two bolts holding down the housing. on the inside is the thermostat. Notice how you took the thermostat off and install a new gasket and new thermostat the same way.Do not over tighten the bolts on reinstalation. the housing can break if you do.
