There is insufficient voltage to turn the starter. Most likely a dead battery.
Or a bad cable.
Or a bad starter.
Look at each in order.

Does not want to Start battery is good starter is good turn the key click click hold the key for a minute it will find out what to start up the van

If the starter is making a click noise when the key is turned to the crank position, suspect an internal contact problem within the starter motor and the starter will need replacement. In some cases, poor cable connections/grounds can also cause this problem

NO START 1999 CAVALIER

If the click you hear is from the starter solenoid mounted on the starter, it could either be a bad starter or poor connections between battery and starter. Raise the hood and listen closely near the starter for the click, when someone turns the key to crank. If the click is from the starter solenoid, have starter tested or replaced. If click is from a relay under the hood, then the start circuit will have to be further diagnosed.

1990 thunderbird sc when you turn the key the car just clicks

It just clicks, this indicates problem with battery or problem with starter. If starter is faulty then battery will just give power to starter and click. The engine will not start due to faulty starter. Most likely starter is faulty, but if both battery and starter checked out ok then there are other possibilities too.Click the link below:-- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/06/1990-thunderbird-sc-when-you-turn-key.html----------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

check to see if starter relay clicks while turning key to start position,if it does click check to see if voltage is reaching starter solenoid..if voltage at post on starter solenoid, but not cranking replace bad starter..(starter relay is located in fuse panel under hood..place finger on it while someone turns key to crank position ..should feel light click)

2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Won't start. no sound from starter. Not sure I hear the fuel pump start up. Does this car have a reset switch for the fuel pump like the Ford Escort and other cars?

Start from scratch.
Does the battery have 12 volts across the terminals? If yes, then does the starter click when you turn the key? If no, replace the battery.
If the starter clicks when you turn the key, but the engine doesn't crank, replace the starter.
If no click, then check for power at the starter solenoid.
If there is power at the solenoid, but no click when you turn the key, check the starter relay. If none of this fixes your problem, you may want to have your mechanic check for broken or corroded wires

Starter relay clicks when you turn ignition key on

no this is either caused by a defective starter solenoid (on starter) or a defective positive battery (red) cable, both are common on this year of explorer.

1999 Honda Accord, 5 speed

It could either be a BAD starter or a BAD ignition they both would have the same symptoms of a "CLICK" alone. I would most likely lean toward the ignition because the key is difficult to turn but its not all ways true that key is tight because the ignition is bad, although possible. It could just mean a bad ignition cylinder(just the key part why its tight) I want you to do a test for me. With clutch engaged turn key to start position and listen for click on starter in the hood, when trying to start. If you hear starter click then the ignition switch is good. (Before you do this make sure that battery is FULLY CHARGED).STARTER IS AT FAULT. IF no clicking is heard coming from starter check starter fuse and if its good YOU have a BAD ignition switch. Contact if you need more hep and Thanks for using FIX YA
