SOURCE: i have five codes P2237

P2237 P2196 P2271 P0030 P0171

These are all O2 sensor trouble codes, except P0171 which is a fuel trim code,

You have a bad 02 sensor - up stream - Bank 1 Sensor 1.

Replace it, then road test. The engine computer has a 'default' fuel trim it uses when an O2 sensor fails so it can protect the catalytic converter. If this hasn't been going on too long, good chance simply replacing the O2 sensor will remedy your problem.

  • Hi, I can help.
  • The codes both point to an Oxygen Sensor failure. Bank 1 Sensor1.
  • This is the first sensor right off the back of the manifold. Replace it and clear the code.
  • To replace it just remove the connector and twist it out with a deep socket or wrench. Revers to install.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to ask.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

code p2237 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HOS2) 1 bank 1-positivecurrent control-open circuit ---or oxygen sensor(O2S)1 bank 1-open circuit--- or heated oxygen sensor1 bank 1 -no signal=== causes for all three is wiring--HOS2----wiring O2S---wiring--HO2S---ecm. Check to see of there is a problem with the catalytic converter, if there is it can create a snowball effect of problems, your muffler can get blown out from the back firing, bad coil s, bad o2 sensors, bad gas mileage and a loud system to many more

What would cause all these 2004 toyota camry v6 3.0 P0031, P0102, P0113, P2237, P2238, P2252 and P0101 codes at the same time.

Have the following checked for proper operation: Mass Airflow sensor (its located on the air filter box), oxygen sensors. If ok, I would recommend having the wires checked for possible damage from rodents biting on them.

Where do i find the chassis munber on the Audi A4 estate 2005?? VMT!! and what do i do about the wrong VIN on the V5 vs the car window VIN. (B on V5 should be 8 as per car?!?!)

open the bonnet/hood and the chassis no is under the windscreen drain channel in front of the wiper panel.
also on a 4" square paper sticker under the carpet in the trunk/boot.and inside service book cover.
if its just 8/B do not worry,if the string is totally wrong then check engine no/chassis and inform swansea.
(worse case is a ringer)
email me with full chassis no from car and v5(both)
