There are hundreds of things that can cause the service engine light to come on, some so simple as a loose gas cap. The easy thing to do is to stop by your local auto parts store, such as autozone. They will scan your car for free, and tell you what tripped the light. Once you have a better idea what caused it, you can go from there...
