Will go in gear but car will not move

Does it actually go into gear? Look under the air cleaner housing at the top of the transmission and check the grommet that goes around the shift mechanism have someone in the car move it, then you will see the grommet is broken or missing. The fix here is basically buying a new cable just because the crappy grommet busted, if you can push the grommet out of the new cable you can install just the grommet without tearing the car apart.

Gear shifter wont engage transmission and making a clicking noise

if you press the shifter and it moves ,then at transmission side, something is loose or came apart,at gear selector side of transmission, some kind of E clip. or C clip

but if the shifter from inside the car not moving at all,

there is switch under brake pedal that is bad and need to be changed look at brake pedal and follow it up toward fire wall from inside the car where at that point upper part of pedal connected to master cylinder

How to replace automatic transmission oil pump on 96 ford ranger

The oil pump is inside the transmission

Transmission has to come out of the vehicle & be taken apart

You never do that for a pump alone

You just rebuilt the whole unit

Busted radiator hose, engine knock

Its possible you hydro-locked a cylinder with coolant which would have bent a connecting rod. When a cylinder gets liquid in it, the liquid will not compress so something has to give.
The head gasket could be leaking to cause the leak into the cylinder.
Hydro lock could also bend a valve.

1995 blazer transmission change out

There are like 6 bolts around the bell housing that bolt the transmission to the engine. Two transmission lines that need to be removed from the transmission, linkage for shifter, driveshaft, started,(disconect the battery) torque converter bolts and a few other small conections. The main thing is that when you are assembling it that the converter is all the way in the transmission. If not, the transmission will not **** to the engine and you may try to tighten the bolt which will bust the ears off the bellhousing on the transmission. Just don't force anything.

There is a knocking when i let the cluth up or change gear and also when i am on rough ground

Sounds like an internal problem in the tranny, busted gear, clutch plate, flywheel. You should take it to a transmission shop asap

I have a 1993 suburban with the 5.7 it is making a ticking sound i was told it could b the fly whell because the bellhousing is missing and i went throw a big water whole could that b it or do u thank it...

It could be either. Use a block of wood or a screwdriver or for 9.99 at any autozone you can get a mechicanics stehoscope<(spelled wrong lol) Start the engine and climb under the truck. Listen closley to where the sound is comming from. If its more in the oil pan its probably a rod if its further towards the rear of the engine It may be the torque converter or flywheel

Wheel Stud

If you remove the wheel drum you can knock out the broken stud. It is pressed into the hub. Take the hub to aan auto parts store ( so you get the same size stud) and buy a new stud. put the stud into the hole in the hub. When you remount you remount the tire and tighten the lug nuts that will pull the new stud up tight in the hub.

Hope this helps

Good luck Loringh
