SOURCE: fuel pump not coming on
Sorry, if you turned your ignition on you will have to flush your whole system. The answer is yes to the pump. And will clog up everything in your fuel system.

SOURCE: A couple days ago I
my my my sounds like some people have some terrible grudges against you pal, non of that is any of my concern. Your going to want to go to your local auto parts store ie, autozone, advanced auto parts ect ect. And you need to ask them if they have fuel tank cleaning solvents, not fuel injector cleaner or gum out non of that will work, if the problem is the filler neck and only the filler neck then you might want to look into purchasing a new filler neck to be on the safe side.
Hope this can help you

SOURCE: Sugar in Fuel
The only thing i can tell you is to get all the gas you can out of the tank, even if it means droping the tank. Then blow out the fuel line, install new filter, fill up with new gas with a fuel additive that cleans injectors and run it. I believe the worst that can happen is clog up the injectors, witch may not happen if you just run it. Depending on how much sugar was put in it.
