Need instructions on RF door panel 2000 deville door panel removal. Do I need special tool?

Takes a special tool you can get at any autoparts store.
Remove the handles etc and then use the tool to pull the retaining clips that hold the panel on. If you don't use the tool you will damage the door panel.

You need a special tool to remove the clip for the window handle. You need a special tool to remove the door panel there's clips all around the panel. There will be screws around the door pull and around door handle. Might be screws at bottom of panel. Use caution when removing door panel clips break easy.

To take off the interior door panel, you need special tools that look like minuter crowbars or claws. You can get them from an autoparts store. The process is to remove all the screws on the interior handles and pads, then you use the tool to slide around the bottom and sides to locate the clips. Get around the clips and pry them loose one a time. If you dont do it in this manner, you risk pulling the clips out of the panel and the panel is a very cheap press board material.

There are special tools that you can get at an autoparts store.

Usually a couple screws at the door handle and plastic clips along the sides and bottom. I strongly suggest getting the tool for the clips. It's cheap and you don't want to break the clips. Once the panel is free from the door it slides up and off.

go to auto parts store or retail store to get a tool called panel popper. it has 2 prongs shaped like a wrench on a shaft (like a screw driver). check panel for screws to remove and after remove screws, use panel popper to pry the panel up. put the panel popper near the plastic tabs that hold the door in place.

the tool you need is akit check on e-bay gm special tool costs about 1800.00 from kent more do not use heli coil they will not hold follow instructions exactly when using time serts

there should be one screw located in the handle for clpsing the door but ther could be more? the rest should be push in plastic pin's gust a mater of "gently prying the door panel off

2000-2001 Deville Door Panel Removal:

1. Position window fully downward and ensure manual lock knob is in unlock position.
2. Disconnect locking clip at front of manual lock knob, by insertingsuitable flat bladed tool into top service notch.
3. Remove manual lock knob.
4. Remove inside handle bezel by holding inside handle to open position, inserting sutiable flat-bladed tool at front lower corner and prying outward.
5. Remove bezel.
6. Remove inside door handle mounting screw.
7. Disconnect eight retainers around outside edges of door trim panel using clip zip tool No. J-36796, or equivalent.
8. Slide door trim panel upwards to release alignment datums, eight retainers, armrest steel retainer clips and inner belt mouldings (see fig #7 amd #8).
9. Disconnect electrical connector(s).
10. Reverse procedure to install.

There is a special tool to remove the door panel, but you can get by with a screwdriver, first you will have to remove all of the screws you see in the panel, armrest,and door handle areas,then slide a flat blade screwdriver between the door and panel and gently pry until fasteners pop out of door.Do this on bottom and sides then lift upward on panel and remove and disconnect wiring.You should be able to see the two nuts that hold the handle on.Usually a 10mm socket to remove it.
