Question about Chrysler Pacifica
Trunk had a latching issue where the trunk was latched but open. I had to manually reset the latch and then close. Since then , recurring issue then eventually the remote, manual button on trunk, and overhead button fail to open the trunk latch, it clicks when these buttons are pressed indicating electrical actuation but no motor/latch movement. I will spray wd-40 on it but would appreciate any insights.

You need to replace that latch, I think the return spring must be broken.

Try sticking you finger or screw driver into the jaws of the latch, hit the button or use the key and pull your finger THRU the latch so the jaws open... happens to the latch on my glove box all the time!!!!

The small switch is the trunk by the pull down motor with the flap that depresses down is at fault. That is what you call the truck pull down switch. You can take this part and show it to a Cadillac or Ford parts department sales person and get a replacement for you car. Ford uses the same part for their Lincolns and Crown Vic's. The part is made by the very same supplier for Ford & GM. Ford will sell this part at a much lower cost as well compared to GM

Look closely to see if anything was dropped or anything heavy placed on the latch. It may be bent ever so little. If not then your servo is losing its value and will have to be replaced.
I hope my suggestions helps and all the luck to you.

SOURCE: Trunk lid will not close.
check the rubber hose that the wires pass through from the vehicle in to the trunk lid it probably has a broken wire inside. Also check wiring to the boot lock for detachment.
A bit of WD40 or similar fine oil on the lock may free it up too ifs its just stuck which may be worth a try first.

Then you probably have a sticking trunk latch, a weak/partially shorted trunk latch actuator, or high resistance in the trunk latch actuator circuit.
