Sounds like the battery has been pulled or was dead for a while. You need to purchase the disk for your navigation system to reboot it somehow it has been erased or just damaged program. Look on ebay and even your Lexus dealer.
If Lexus can't fix this there is nothing anyone here can do for it. Anything that can be done needs the proper scanning and reprogramming equipment only Lexus has. Being that the car is new when enough people complain about this they will come up with a fix, Their may be a recall on it in the future. But for now your going to have to live with it or trade the car in. I know you did'nt want to hear this but but if some yahoo directs you wrong it will cost you hundreds just to get the programming back to the way it is today. Some navigation systems if you disconnect the battery you will have to go to the dealer to get them to reprogram it. Use lots of caution when guessing. New cars are not made for the average back yard mechanic to touch.
does it say : program can not be read please conntact your dealer. and your 3 buttons on right side of the screen dont work and also your calendar? I have a same problem because i dissconnected battery.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news... that error code means that you have a CD that's bad in the 6 disc changer.... If you're handy... you can take your radio out and manually remove the cd's and make sure that the 6 trays are aligned properly and not stuck together. (known issue) However, Lexus/Toyota does NOT repair ANY of their electrical components. They want you to pay for a NEW one at the tune of 800.00 PLUS installation... and they send the old one back to Japan and remove the CD's and mail them to you. (at no extra cost... as the service rep was telling me.. as to benefit feature me on the sale of the replacement unit.) Next be ready for the "Disc Read Error, Check Disc" on your navigation... lol.. it's a 2.10 motor that moves the lens that reads the DVD navigation CD.. and once again .. they don't replace or repair... that's a 4500.00 item plus installation.. GOTTA LOVE YOUR EXPENSIVE CAR NO? ;)
