Open the 2007 CX-7 Owners Manual (here is you don't have one http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/pdf/manuals/2007CX7OM.pdf)
Go to page 8-35 (P. 331 in the pdf). Close the hood, you're in the wrong place. Remove the cover in the front of the wheel arch to expose the headlight assembly.

Hyundai santa fe fuse headlights

You should have a 10amp headlight fuse, and two 15amp fuses - one for each side low beam. And there is a relay for each low beam plus one for the high beams. The headlight switch provides the ground circuit.
The fuses and relays are in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
Check your owners manual for details.

Mazda cx7. both high beams work and one low beam works. how can i tell if its a headlight or some other problem

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. These new lights have two types lin one bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. Find the bulb that isn't lighting for the low beam and replace it with a new bulb. If it doesn't work, you need to check the wiring to that specific light. Since it is only one, the new bulb should work.

Why would both low beams stop working at exactly the same time? I've checked the fuses and the relay and they're all fine. What else would you suggest?

It could be a problem with your dip switch or connection thereto, but as these are fairly robust. I'd buy a replacement bulb and try that first as the easier option, always good to keep a spare anyway, its not beyond the realms of possibility that both dip beams failed at more or less the same time.

I can't figure out how to replace the driver side low beam headlight on my 2007 Mazda 3.

very simple. remove black plastic cover by the air filter box. -couple of phillips plastic screws. then reach in and turn black plastic round dust cover,counter-clockwise then carefully remove electrical plug (harness) and then with your finger push metal hold down (silver) to unlock the bulb. do not touch new bulb with fingers (will reduce the bulb life) wear gloves.reverse procedure to install.remember the bulb is replaced from under the hood and no other tools are required.

How do I change the bulb in the low beam headlight in my 2007 Mazda CX7?

Removing the bulb in a CX7 is a real PITA. If replacing the right bulb, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, or do the opposite for the left side. (or you can opt to remove the entire wheel on the corresponding side) You'll need to remove 3-4 of the fender well clips with a phillips screwdriver being careful not to break them. Once the screws are removed, pry back the wheel well cover to access the back of the headlamp to change the bulb.
