There are rubber gas line hoses under the hood & after a number of years they tend to leak ever so slightly. They are under the hood to the passenger side. You may need to replace these fuel lines. There should be a cabin filter but you must take the wiper motor screen off to get at it & it is on the passenger side. Good luck!

If this happens after you fill up with gas or on a low tank, you can get ascetalene (not spelled right) fumes. A rotten egg type smell is one of two things: Over charging battery or catalytic converter. I hope that helps. Please review my answer - thanks
