SOURCE: smelling gas fumes in passenger cabin

There are rubber gas line hoses under the hood & after a number of years they tend to leak ever so slightly. They are under the hood to the passenger side. You may need to replace these fuel lines. There should be a cabin filter but you must take the wiper motor screen off to get at it & it is on the passenger side. Good luck!

SOURCE: When I come to a stop the cabin fills up with

If this happens after you fill up with gas or on a low tank, you can get ascetalene (not spelled right) fumes. A rotten egg type smell is one of two things: Over charging battery or catalytic converter. I hope that helps. Please review my answer - thanks

smell gas in the cabin Kenny, Fuel line is probably leaking, would have checked immediately by a qualified tech. This could be extremely dangerous if fuel is spraying/leaking on hot surface such as exhaust.

Strong smell of gas when you start car only when the heater fan is running

I would check the computer for trouble codes first.
The gas smell can be something leaking around or on the engine, the heater pulls air into the cabin from the engine compartment.

How to access the taillight bulb on my 2008 malibu

you need to open the trunk and on whatever side you are needing to change pull the carpet forward towards the back seats, there will be a few 10mm bolts you must remove and when removing them support the light so it does'nt nick or scratch the paint, when you get it off twist the plug out of thelens housing and r&r plug, install in reverse.

2002 mazda miata mx5 has strong gasoline smell in trunk. Had smoke test done at dealership and showed no leaks. Help.

The fill pipe is right back there. Check to see if a hose has been damaged. Check the spout area, is there a overflow pipe or a seam that could be leaking into the trunk?
