i had the same problem on my 2003 vibe... they replaced the filler tube also and it didn't fix it then they replaced the entire fuel filling system including the venting tupe and located a bee hive honeycomb in the vent line and that was what was causing the problem and have no problems since. hope this helps.

This is most likely due to a bad solenoid pack in transmission. You could have tranny serviced and see if it helps. Poor fluid condition makes valves stick in those.

i think there may be a kink or pinch in the hose connecting the gas tank to the filler cap assembly. you will want to get under your car right under the gas cap door where you would fill up and check the hoses mainly the large one while not ignoring the smaller one which is for ventilation of your gas tank and just make sure that those hoses are not too long causing the hose to crimp somewhere in the middle obstructing the flow of gas to the tank. hope this helps. goodluck!
