I also have a 2005 mustang that leaks in on the passenger floorboard on the right side behind the glove box when it rains .I bought my 05 mustang brand new.The first time That I noticed that I had this leak was in May of 2009 .where right after a very long thundershower during the night the next day my husband was sitting in the passenger seat I started to drive down the street we live on and the first turn I made water started dripping from behind the glove box and down onto my husbands legs. The funny thing when My husband opened the glove box everything inside was dry but the whole rightside of the floor and my husbands legs were wet. We dIdn\'t know what to think.A few days later it rains again and the same thing happens again.SoI make an appointment with the Ford Dealership where I bought my Mustang to have them check the car. I still had a whole year left on the cars warrenity. Now I go to pick up my car they tell me they water tested cowl, windshield and roof found no leaks. They removed the passenger side carpet and found the insulation to be wet. Whenthey checked under the hood when theyremoved the cover for the cabin filterthey found the drain thats against the firewall to be clogged with leaves they cleared the drain and water flowed they rechecked everthing was ok.Now they give me a bill for $150..00 and tell me to try not to park my car under trees.I say to the srvce manger i still have a years warrenty why do I have a bill.He tells me that it was not a faulty part that caused the leak inside the car and that as long as I don.t park under a lot of trees the drain won\'t get blocked to cause a leak inside my car.Now the street and area where i live have a whole lot of trees. So now i figure i\'ll try to park where there are not a lot of trees Well its kind of hard not to so for about 2 years i hand no problem. Then all of a sudden the problem returns.O f course I no longer have a warrenty on car and I m just so lucky the Ford Dealership where i bought the car is now also out of business. So now I am wondering how many people are having the same problem and I find u on here and I bet that is what is causing your leak.Sad thing is If they would have told me when I bought my brand new Mustang that i cant park it under any trees I never would have bought the car.I will never buy anther car from Ford again.they don\'t stand behind their vehicles !! Let me know if your drains are blocked.Maybe we can find other people that have this problem and if we confront Ford together they will do something to fix this problem.

SOURCE: 2006 mustang water leaking rear floor

Hi , Its leaking water on the passenger rear floor? It could be the heater core leaking and running down the floor board to the rear of the vehical. Do you smell antifreez or see moisture build up on the windshield ? does the car seem more "humid" inside?

SOURCE: my 2005 taurus has started getting a pool of water

It could be that the windshield seal has a leak beneath the cowl. Also, pools of water on the floorboard may be coming from your heater/air conditioner condenser. Check the cabin air filter for wetness, too.
Can you see if the water is on the firewall inside the passenger compartment? You might pull the carpet clips to lower it so you can spot the source of the leak.

If these checks don't pan out, let me know. Maybe we can do more troubleshooting.

I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus and I need to know where my ac drain is to see if it is clogged or collapsed because my driver side floorboard is soaked.

Which means your heater core is leaking,it's bad,the A.C.drain is on the passenger side, will drip on the right side under firewall.

2005 mustang troubleshooting I have water on passenger side floorboard after it rains. do you know how i can fix this please?

You have to trouble shoot a leaky door gasket or windshield seal, can be tricky. Go to a dealer and ask the service writer if there is a common leak point on the car, some of these guys can be very helpful. I had an Olds with this and it took a long time to find the leak from the windshield. If you put a hose on the area and use flashlight to look under/ behind the dash you might find the leak, good luck.

2005 dodge caravan leaking on the driver side and passenger side floor. the rain water is dropping from corner of the roof.

The rear ac evaporator box is not draining very well, and it is blowing the condensation up threw the vents, most likely. The drain should be under the rear passengers side wheel well.

The passenger side floorboard gets wet =

is it only when the ac is on? there is a pan under the ac unit that has a hole in it to allow the condensation to empty. if that hole gets plugged it could cause the condensation to build up and back into the inside of that car. i unplugged mine and floor stayed dry

My 2005 taurus has started getting a pool of water on the passenger side floorboard after a heavy rain, any ideas on how to fix, didn't see any leaks from windshield.

Look for moisture on the glass of the windshield, as well as the passenger side door, if thebottom seal isnt making contact on the door glass water will run in threw the door

2005 Chrysler Pacifica-Air conditioning leak

The 05/04 Pacifica did not come with an elbow tube on the drain line for the AC drip pan. As you drive, the air flow into the tube pushes the condensate water back into the pan which is inside above the passenger floor board, the drain line is under the hood on the firewall. I spoke with the parts guy at the local Chrysler dealer, he sold me a drain tube for the 06 (~$10) and I installed it, wasn't too hard to do from the top if the engine is cold. The elbow slips on over the drain tube. Make sure to point the tube down. It only took one trip to start seeing water drip out of the tube and the floorboard started to dry up and almost three years later, the floorboard is still dry.

Leak onto floorboard

Here is what all dealers do to find water leaks, we spray a fine mist of water on the car near where the water might be comming in with a spray nozzle, someone gets inside the car and look for the leak, there is no other way, and I have been doing this 30 years.
