Question about Kia Cars & Trucks
My 2002 Kia Sedona has a few problems. The first one is that it will start in the morning after sitting for the evening and then cut off when I put it in reverse/drive, etc. I then try this about twice/three times with it cutting off and then finally it will allow me to drive/reverse, etc without cutting off. The second problem is that when I'm stopped at a light, the car will **** forward consecutively. It doesn't do it all the time but one out of five/six lights it will start doing this jerking motion. The third problem is when I have driven the car for about 30 minutes and then I get to my destination and shut it off. If I try to restart the car again, the car will not start and it makes the sound as if it wants to start but it can't catch. I've taken it to a mechanic and he doesn't know whats wrong with it...is there anyone out there can give me any clue on what's going on?

sounds like you have a problem with the spark the coil may be on its way out or there may be oil in the spark plug holls shorting out the spark.
your best bet is to pull the leads out 1 at a time and and look down and check for oil if there is oil there get a new rocker cover gasket.
if no oil refit plug leads loosely and start the car remove one lead at a time slowly and look at the spark cumming out the end off the lead is it blue? if so it is ok if it is yellow and dull you have a coil problem. also check that the spark is only comming out the end of the lead as it may be comming ou the side of the lead and shorting to earth,
you can do this by slowly moving the lead around the top of the sparkl plug holl and see were the spark is comming from
be carfull no to shock your self as it herts like hell

It sounds like you have a bad MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor). This is in your air inlet tube, pull this out and check to see if there is any corrosion on it. If is one that has a coiled exposed wire, then ensure that the wire is not broke.
