it sounds like one of two things the knuckels in the cv axle are gone. and or you parking pin is been shered off. In result try getting a new cv axle.

If your check engine light came on when the problem occurred, then you need to have the diagnostic codes read. I am cheap, so I would suggest going to an Advance or Auto Zone, they will read the codes and interpret them for you in hopes of selling you the part that will fix it. Good Luck. These are common for stripping the splines in the torque converter for the pump shaft. If it did this when you check the fluid with the engine running it will read overfull. To fix it you would have to remove the transmission and replace the torque converter.

the noise you are getting is more than likely the cv axels going out in your vehicle i would reccomend taking it to the local mechanic and have this issue fixed hope this has helped you and have a wonderful day thank you for using fix ya
