Try backing up STAIGHT for 50 feet making sure the switch is in the 2WD position. If this does not work, then you need to check that power is getting to the Actuator

Why does the all-wheel drive keep disengaging when you need it?

Is the All-Wheel Drive Disabled Indicator on ?
An ABS DTC may cause the AWD Disabled light to illuminate. Check for ABS DTCs if no AWD fault is present.

The AWD data list can be used to assist in determining which type of fault is causing the AWD Disabled Lamp to illuminate. with a scan tool, verify the above data displays are within specification.
AWD temperature disables can be caused by an open circuit.

Using a scan tool, select the Body - Instrument Panel Cluster - Special Functions - Lamp Test mode. In the Lamp Test mode you can turn on or off the instrument panel indicators. All indicators will turn ON when commanded on and OFF when commanded off. The AWD DISABLE indicator should turn on or off as commanded.
If the AWD DISABLE indicator is always ON or always OFF, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

The AWD disable lamp illuminates when one of the following conditions exists for 5 seconds:
The PCM commands the solenoid ON and the voltage feedback remains high, B+.

The PCM commands the solenoid OFF and the voltage feedback remains low, 0 volts. This condition is present for 3 key cycles.

The PCM detects fluid temp is too high.

You need to have this hooked-up to a professional grade scan tool.

Radio troubleshooting

Is the door chime is still working, as when the door is opened and the ignition key is left in the ignition switch? If so, the speaker circuit is OK and I would begin looking at the circuits running from the radio to the amplifier, let me know.

What causes a 2011 traverse alarm and loss of power?

Need more information. When does it do this? At start up? When it warms up? What time of day and what weather conditions? This could be anything from a bad ground to you putting aftermarket parts on like a fancy radio or alarm. Is the vehicle AWD or 4WD? Make sure you really pay attention to what is going on and with a little more information I can help you out.

2009 Traverse, the engine cooling fan remains on for @ 1 minute after switching off the engine and removing the key from ignition. Is this normal and if not what is the problem. Thanks.

That is absolutly normal, the fan is designed to run at a certain temperature not just when the motor is running. On short trips or cool weather the fan won't run at all till needed.

Abs pumping when you apply breaks, has new rotors and brakes. Also, the AWD disengages and the ABS disengages and the brakes work fine. I know it's electrical but, not sure what the problem is.

How are you determining that ABS disengages?
Does the ABS lite come on?
If you answered yes then your problem is a wheel/ speed sensor.
