Sounds like you may need to inspect and replace your fuel line from front to rear. no other reason for your problem.

neither one of these would cause gas to leak. sure it is not coolant ? if you think it is gas it is not safe to drive car as it could catch on fire. possible cause would be a leaking injector.

SOURCE: Hard start when cold, running rich, poor fuel economy

Chrysler has a bulletin out for a simular condititon that involves replacing the pcm. Heres the bulletin number 18-005-04. This is only 1 possible cause , Fuel pressure, coolant temp sensor, thottle position sensor all can cause like problems. Seeing sensor values and fuel adaptives with a scan tool helps pin point problems.

SOURCE: 1991 toyota 3L V6 Overfueling, raw fuel pouring out exhaust pipes

The valve cover gasket change is related only to the extent of needeing to remove something else . There is the fuel pressure regulator and the MAF SENSOR talks to the ECU telling the computer how much fuel is needed for proper mixture of thre air passing into the intake. It is the first sensor in the intake duct coming out of the sir filter. Make sure all the injectors are secure in wiring connection and look around for any other that had to be removed. All plugs mean it isn't just one injector. Unplug and replug the MAF. cHECK THE THROTTLE POSITIO SENSOT. iT RIGHT THERE where the fuel likage is attached.

There are 2 upstream o2 sensors on cadillac sls and 2 downstream. There are 2 exhaust manifolds on the 8 cyl 4.6 L bank 1 sensor 1 which is backside manifold and bank 1 sensor 2 which is front manifol

the back manifold ( closest to the fire wall) is bank l
there are not 2 x O2 sensors up stream
they are heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) and are in the manifold or exhaust pipe before the cat converter
The 2 x O2 sensors are after the cat converter in the exhaust pipe
so bank 1 sensor 1 is a HO2S sensor
there is a difference in the sensors as the HO2S report exhaust gas conditions to the ECM for fuel /air adjustments , have 4 wires and are heated to read the gas correctly
the after cat converter sensors ar O2 sensors and report on the cat converter action to further adjust the air /fuel mix in the ECM

Code p1133 for a 2005 chevy trailblazer ls/ oxygen sensor where is the sensor located?

On most vehicles, the sensors are screwed in to the exhaust pipes or exhaust manifolds, usually under the car/truck , in the vicinity of "under the front seat" area. They are usually the size of your thumb, and have a wire going to them.

Which o2 sensor did you replace? on 1996 and newer vehicles there are two o2 sensors: the upstream o2 sensor, which is before the catalytic convertor and moniters the air/fuel ratio in the exhaust. the downstream o2 sensor, which is after the catalytic convertor and moniters the exhaust emissions coming out of the convertor. you should have an error code that will tell you which o2 sensor is faulty, sensor 1 (upstream) or sensor 2 (downstream).

2000 navigator system too lean

Too Lean on which Bank of the Motor?

To have a lean O2 Code --you could have a rich fuel
condition & the pcm drove the fuel trim lean

Next you could have a vacuum leak-in the intake or exhaust system

Third you could have a failed O2 Sensor

Front or Upstream Oxygen Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles

The front sensors are on the exhaust pipe between the motor &
the converter.

Will need a long handled flex head O2 Sensor Wrench

What is O2 light censur on my 1992 Isuzu trooper

Hi there,

An O2 sensor (also known a HEGO or HO2s) is an electrical 'probe' which is screwed into your exhaust pipe/s (you will see an electrical wire connecting into your exhaust pipe).

Each exhaust pipe will have an O2 sensors (sometines 2 per side - one mounted in front of the catalytic converter and one after the converter).

An HO2 sensor is responsible for heating up the exhaust gas (when starting vehicle from cold) to aid the computer in delivering the correctly Fuel/Air mixture. Once the engine reaches normal operating temperature, the heater section on the O2 sensor then turns off, providing normal exhaust gas measurement for appropriate fuel/air mixture.

An HO2 sensor is critical in the efficient running of an engine.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

I would like to know how many o2 sensors are in a 2003 jetta 1.8t gas.

If you can locate the catalytic converter the front O2 sensor , referred to as sensor 1 or S1 , is located in the inlet pipe for the catalytic converter , 6" to 12" upstream.
The rear sensor , referred to as sensor 2 or S2 , is located in the outlet pipe , 6" to 12" downstream.
The exact distance from the catalytic converter varies by engine type , i.e , 2.O liter ,1.8 Turbo

Bad gas mileage i filled my car with 91 octane i live in canada its $1.20 a liter right now and i got 274 kilometers to that tank is there something wrong with my car ?

If your car is at 80k miles or more, first change out the oxygen sensor. Their life-span is only 80-100K miles. (not sure what that is in KMs.

This is what provides feedback to the computer to fine-tune the air/fuel mixture. When this fails, you will run a rich mixture and get worse gas mileage (or literage as you might say)

O2 sensors in a 97 gmc 1500 with 5.7 liter

bank 1 is the drivers side bank, so b1s1 would be the drivers side closest to the engine. if the truck is equipped with several 02 sensors then bank 2 or b2s1 would be passenger side closest to the engine. those are called upstream o2 sensors and the others downstream b1s2 and b1s2 b= bank 1= drivers side s=sensor 2=downstream. hope this helps.

1996 Neon is blowing black smoke from the exhaust.

If good, clean fuel, good spark etc. 171 is lean mixture according to my sources.. Thus I'd say if engine is being told from O2 sensor that mixture is lean, that would explain all the extra fuel getting ( dumped ) fed to engine. I guess i"d start by changing O2 sensor. (Oxygen sensor.) If it has 2, do the one upstream, closest to engine on exhaust manifold or pipe.
