SOURCE: 2002 ford thunderbird check engine code 0340

You has two (or more) codes.

You listed P0340 which is Cam crank angle sensor.

This is usually cause by motor running hot beyond 230 F

and the heat damaging the cam angle sensor (CAS)

replace the damage CAS

Inspect to make sure the fans are operation

Coolant change to 65/50 mix instead of 50/50
If you're living in sub-zero are then check the coolant bottle for the correct mix.

The front O2 sensors is not providing the data to the computer.

The front O2 (before catalytic is taking a lot more un-burn hydrocarbon and it should change before 85,000 miles.

Poor mileage and slow acceleration will occur if you do not replace the O2s.

I have a 0340 code for my cam shaft

Well code 340 means the cam sensor is not working correctly. The engine computer is not getting the signal it expects.
The sensor and the wiring would need to be tested.

Ignition coils on 2005 f 150

You didn't state which engine you have. If you have the 4.2L (V-6) your vehicle has a coil pack. If your vehicle has a 4.6L or 5.4L (V-8) then it takes a COP (coil over plug). Is that what you needed? If not just write back and be specific about what you need, good luck.

The service light comes on and the rpms goes up and down. It will some times stall also .

Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.

Rough idle; engine light appeared

I had that problem with my 2005 FX4 turned out to be a coil on #6 cylinder I replaced the coil my self and the light went out coil was $58.00.These trucks are sensitive to water in the gas you may want to add gas line antifreeze or isopropyl alcohol to your gas every other tank to displace any water which may be getting in there.
