Question about 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer Ext
Fuel gauge is unreliable it will show different full amounts everytime I start or even during driving it this repair covered by my extended warrenty

Gm has a real problem with fuel tank sending units. That is what is wrong. You need a fuel tank sending unit. You can only get them aftermarket with the whole fuel pump module, but you can buy them seperate if you buy it from the dealer.

This is a case of the sending unit being bad, this is very common on these trucks, this is like a toilet float, it floats inside the tank with a sensor at the base that controls the gauge, hope this helps,

Ihave a 96 s10 it dose the same thing i think its because the fuel moves around in the tank and the shape of the tank but it still works There is something i read in the manual that said it could stop anywhere all of the gauges are like this but olny the fuel dose this

This is caused by a defective fuel level sending unit inside the fuel tank. To repair the problem you must remove the fuel tank from the car and replace the fuel pump module which is part of the fuel level sensor.
