Question about 2002 GMC Yukon Denali
I started my truck last night to warm it up, and headed back in the house, 3 minute later I heard my alarm goin off. So I went back out to find my truck still running with alarm goin off with lights flashing/blinking. I try to deactivate it with the remote but nothing happened, so I shut down the car to use the key in the ignition & door, still nothing will stop the alarm from going off. I try to start the truck again but, now it wont even start. I had to disconnect the battery in order to keep the alarm from going off and kiilin the battery power... Can somebody help me off with this problem???
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Absolutely no power? No dome light? No head lights? Nothing?
When you step on the brake pedal, no brake lights?
If true, start at the source and pop the hood.
This is going to be a bit of back and forth dialogue. I'll ask some questions and you get me the answers. That way we can get to the root of the problem. To save time, I'll ask multiple questions at a time. Here goes.
Does it turn over and start?
Does it do anything?
Comment me back with your findings

Sounds like low voltage.
Get a boost from another car with a good set of cables.
Once started check voltage with booster car disconnected.
Is it around 14 volts?
If so,the truck is charging, so it may be time for a new battery.
If the voltage is at 12 or lower while running the truck is not charging.
May be time for a new alternator.
The battery should have charged enough in 1 hour to start the truck.
You may need a battery and alternator.

SOURCE: My head lights were flashing
do you have a remote starter also? If so then that is the culprit. If this is an after market alarm then time for a new one. if not then take it to the dealer to reset.

Maybe by disconnectting your battery and reconnectting, you might be able to reset system.
