Question about 1993 Toyota Camry
The forward gear solenoids are inside the transmission.
they would not put them outside with 2 hydraulic lines.
for 2 reasons, cost. and possible get hit by road, debit.
how ever ,ive seen 1.
the FSM covers all these tests, why not read that first.
study the ON CAR - A/T tests. all cars have this. same section
so read any at hand then yours. if need.
1: Fuses good.
2: TCM inputs correct (it has scan flash codes, so set the jumper and look..
3: TCM output, good or bad.??? easy 12v/0v readings. in book
4: then last the solenoids, never first.
Sensors, Input , processing, output, solenoids.
in that order.
some sols are just above the filter. (in pan)
others are on top of valve body, very very hard to reach.

solenoids on this vehicle transmission is located inside the transmission. You must drain the transmission oil, then remove the transmission oil pan to access it.
