you may need to run a wire from a keyed ignition source that has power while cranking and running to the fuel pump relay and bypass the pcm to test wether it will run, if it runs put a more permanent wire in place. Not too sure what tests youve done but it seems that fuel is what your focusing on so a quick test is too spray engine start up the intake tube to see if the engine trys to run if it does it eliminates a lot of other potential reasons for a no start condition. Also try squeezing the fuel return line to see if the added pressure will try to make engine run.Could be time to replace fuel pump etc anyway let me know how it goes good luck with it

SOURCE: 1997 Neon dies, starts after electric fuel pump relay swapped

Hello, I would assume this is your fuel pump inside your tank. I would first however do some basics like a general tuneup. For starters I would replace your spark plugs and wires, rotary cap and button and check your fuses. Run some injector cleaner through your system. You know quick simple cheap things before you get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank which can be kinda expensive. The warm up then dies can be caused by, "blownout or fouled," spark plugs. I hope this gives you a general direction in which to go. A sidenote is that coil packs do not normally run an igntion code and I for one do not like them becuase they are expensive.

The inline fuel pump fuse on the passenger side firewall is good? Are you jumping it with 12 volts at the test lead or the fuse?

Lincoln LS won't start after back probing fan check all fues and relays, fuel, spark, all ok spray with starting fluid car runs but cut off

When you start the car is there a key light (or lock) blinking or solid on the dash?
If so its probably your key transponder not communicating to your car causing the fuel pump to shut off.

Dont want to start have to cycle ignition 2 or 3 times before it starts

Hello
This problem is often caused by a defective fuel pressure check valve in the outlet of the electric fuel pump. When the car sits the fuel leaks back into the fuel tank and the lines must be "purged" before the engine gets a steady fuel flow at the correct pressure and runs ok, this is why cycling the key off and on gets the engine running. The fuel pump is only turned on for one second unless the engine is cranking over. To confirm this cycle the key three or four times from on to off and back on (without cranking engine), if the engine starts and runs ok you likely need to replace the in tank fuel pump.

Of course a new computer system in a 2000 model will work perfectly well on the car without a need of replacing the fuel pump.

Good luck.

My 02 sunfire died on me all of a sudden and now wont start but will turn over i have checked the fuses and they seem to be ok

This may sound really dumb, but check your fuel... The 00 to 02 Sunfires had a problem with the fuelguage reading inacurately. Sometimes by as much as 1/3 of a tank. If not that then start at the basics, look for fuel getting to the engine, and spark... If the fuel pump is the culprit you can try having a partner hit the fuel tank with a rubber, or NON METAL hammer while your cranking the engine. If the car starts then dont risk it not starting again, get the fuel pump replaced right away.
