Cost replace starte 99 chrysler concord

It really depends on where the work is being done because labor rates are different at each shop. I can tell you that in my labor guide it says it takes 2 hour to replace the starter so depending on the shop you take it to would/should be 2 hour in labor. The Concorde came with a 2.7 and a 3.2 liter engine but the labor time is the same. Now as far as the cost of the starter both engines have a list price of about $300.00 but if you were to purchase the part (if the shop lets you) it mast likely would be about half that cost for the parts. Hope I was able to help

My 04 trailblazer is shaking and check engine light stays on

First off, I'm not sure of the actual condition of the vehicle as far as the body and interior so I am un able to tell you if it is worth the money. I can say the Trailblazer is a prety good vehicle from what I have worked on and I am going by the vehicle having the 4.2 liter engine. As far as the cost and remeber I am going by you having the 4.2 liter engine, my labor guide says it takes 4 hour of time to replace 1 injector. It depends on what shop you go to as to their hourly labor rate. The cost of the injector itself list price is about $150.00 for the injector and the shop will most likely tack on a fee for materials and that varies for each shop as well. As I said labor rates are diferent. If I were to do it at my shop here in Florida, I would give an estimate to the customer of $445.14 plus tax. My hourly labor rate is $68.88 which is less than most shops and dealerships. Not sure of how the vehicle looks or how well it was maitained in the past so as far as if you should invest in the vehicle depends on that & you. If you do happen to have the 5.3 liter engine, the cost should be much less (only a couple hours of labor and the injector would cost about the same). I know this wasn't much help but hope I was able to help give you an idea as to cost and such.

Do I chanage water pump when changing timing belt on 2002 lexus GS300?

Hi there,

Most Japanese designed engines have an internally mounted water pump, usually driven by the cambelt.

When we talk in terms of cam design, there are two types of engines: a) Interference and b) non-interference.

An interference egine means - if the cambelt were to break whilst engine is running, there will be major internal engine damage.
A non-interference engine means - if the cambelt were to break whilst engine is running, there will NOT be any serious internal damage to the engine.

Note: the GS300 engine (3.0L 6-cyl) is considered a Non-Interference engine.

So, one of the most critical compenents which MUST be changed, is the cambelt itself. Most manufacturers recommend changing this belt every 90,000 - 100,000km's (80,000 miles). If you have a non-interference engine, this period is not as critical, but should still be changed soon, to avoid the inconvenience of a breakdown whilst travelling.

The 2nd critical compenent is the Water Pump. The worst possible outcome of a failed waterpump, is your engine will suddenly drain of all coolant, resulting in serious overheating, causing serious internal damage to your engine.

Although there is no specified time to change the waterpump, a waterpump endures wear and tear like any component and lifespan can reduce rapidly beyond 100,000km's (80,000 mles). As the waterpump is situated next to the cambelt, it is a general rule to change out both cambelt and waterpump at the same time.

The majority of the cost to replace the cambelt, is in labor (ie opening the engine etc). If you choose to replace only one of these components, you will need to be prepared to pay for same procedure again in future, to replace the 2nd component.

Therefore, it can be more economical in the long term, to have both components changed together.

Hope this helps...

Scott

How much will it cost to replace a water pump on 1997 chrysler lhs v6.

the waterpump on this car is turned by the timing belt, when you replace the waterpump on this car the timing belt should be replaced no doubt about it, the timing belt must be replaced and also the pulleys checked and if the car have 100,000 miles or more the timing belt pulleys must be replaced. the reason for this is that if for any reason the belt jumps or breakes then engine damage will occur, the pistons will bend the valves and this is very costly, there is no extra labor to do the belt it has to be removed to do the waterpump you would just pay for the parts, for example to do a waterpump it would run about $400.00, then to do it right with a waterpump timing belt and pulleys it would run 500.00,i think its a wise thing to do.this car only uses one pulley that needs replacing so i said pulleys but rather just a pulley that runs in this belt design. good day, heres a few diagrams to help explain how it works.johnjohn2_126.gifjohnjohn2_127.gifjohnjohn2_128.gif

What is the time allotted for replacing a timing belt?

I believe it's 6 hours. That would include waterpump and tensioner labor, all three should be done at the same time since you have to remove the timingbelt to access the waterpump. The timingbelt has a longer lifespan than the waterpump but it's pointless to put an old belt back on. Considering it could end up costing thousands.
