I recently parked my 2006
I recently parked my 2006 Passat on a hill using the electronic parking button. I was away for about 15 minutes and as I was walking back the car ran down a hill and smashed into a bus shelter. So it took 15 minutes to roll.Insurance is involved but what could the problem be and what should I do next.

I am in no way an expert, but I would bet its a loose parking brake. I hate the electronic button, you never know how hard the parking brake is applied. I had a similar problem when my Jetta wound up parking itself in the middle of my street (my house is on a short hill) about 20 minutes after I parked it. Went in and had the cable tightened. Worked like a charm.
