Question about 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
All of a sudden I can't turn my steering wheel. It takes two hands to turn a corner. I was hoping it was frozen because we had a storm and drifts last time it was driven. I also have an auto starter installed and seems like I have starter problems. Goes in streaks of when it will start. Mostly below zero days it won't start. Are the two related?
The steering problem is related to the power steering. Did you check the power steering fluid level? If level is ok, pump may be bad.
Hard starting is not related to steering issue. That needs to be diagnosed for fuel or spark issues. There many reasons for this.

SOURCE: steering problem
check your power steering belt. it may have broke or slipped off the pulley. if it seems ok check your fluid level. if it is still at normal operating level for hot or cold then your power steering pump may have just seized up and you may have to replace it.

Does it have an Airbag? If yes unhook the battery, then remove it. Then you need a steering wheel puller tool to remove the wheel. You can buy one at sears for about 20 dollars.

Sounds to me like you should check your battery and connections to it. Maybe they are dirty or corroded- not allowing full amperage to start your car or recharge the battery fully.
Just a relatively easy check and usually a no- cost fix!!!
Hope this helps you out!!

it may be a bad tps ( throttle position sensor ). it causes transmission shift issues, bucking, jerking, idle surging, engine cut off, surge while crusing down highway. if this does not solve problem, it may be a sticking valve body in transmission. have a good day !! for an automatic tranny.
