SOURCE: no power to fuel pump

Besides the fuses there is also a fuel pul relay. should be located under the hood in one of the relay and fuse boxes. It should be listed on the chart on the inside of the relay/fuse box cover.

SOURCE: 1993 jeep takes long time

have the key in ignition turn off all excessories so you can hear, turn key to on postion listen to see if pump is working, sounds like a power anttena noise,if you hear this, then have the fuel pressure regulator checked,as could be loosing pressure, causing the hard start issue,or the pump could be bad, listen to car, then go from there.

I have a 2003 Buick Century replaced fuel pump, fuel pump relay fuel pump fuse is no power to the fuel pump what's wrong with the car? Pcm? Key switch where's the relay located

Pull the relay. Using a test light connected to ground probe the four pins in the fuse block. Two of them should have power. Connect the test light to power. Back probe the other two connectors. One should be grounded all the time, this is the power supply wire to the fuel pump. The other should be grounded when the key is turned to the run position and only for about 5 seconds.

Let me know what you find and I'll help you further.

I have a 03 Hyundai accent I just replaced the fuel pump I have no power to the fuel pump I've checked the fuses and the fuel pump relay it won't start I'm not sure what to do next

Do you have a test light? If not, go buy a cheap $5 test light-one with a lead to clip to a ground, and with a needle type probe.
Pull the fuel pump relay out of the terminals it is plugged into-you need to check if the power feed for the pump is still available at the relay. Clip the test light lead to a ground and touch the test probe to the positive battery post-to check that your ground is good- tester should light up. Now touch the probe to all of the terminals that the relay plugs into. One terminal should have power with key off. If no terminals have power, you have lost the power feed for the pump. Double check all your maxi fuses in the power distribution box. Either a maxi fuse or a fusible link will be the power feed for the fuel pump relay.
If the power feed is there at the relay, try a new relay. If still no pump, a shop will probably have to check your fuel pump circuit.
Did you check for power at the fuel tank while the key was held in crank? When the engine is cranking, the fuel pump wire should have power. When the key is turned to on, the fuel pump should have power for about 2 seconds, to pressurize the fuel system. Then when key is turned to crank or start, the fuel pump should stay on.

My car will not start it cranks but will not turn on. So far I have changed the crank sensor I also have no spark to coil packs or spark plugs Fuel pump does not turn on when I turn the key. What is the...

Begin by checking fuses. Ignition, efi, fuel pump fuses. When key turned to on, do the warning lights and gauges work? That verifies switch has power and is sending power out. With key on, the coil primary wire to coil packs should have voltage.

No spark and no gas? Fuel pump fuse good? I think I would use a test light or multimeter to check that fuel pump fuse terminal has power to it with key on. If that's good, pull connector off at fuel tank and check for a voltage signal on fuel pump wire when the engine is cranking-if good signal, fuel pump needs taken out for replacement or inspection. If no signal check that fuel pump relay has power to it. With key off, pull the relay and check that one terminal has power to it-the feed wire for the pump. If no power signal at all, check maxi fuses or fusible links for a failure.

96 Ford ranger wont start. Replaced fuel pump and relay is good, what else could be the problem?

A couple things could be wrong. Make sure the ground for the pump wiring is good. If the ground is good, take a test light and make sure you're getting power to the pump. If not, you'll have to check all the fuses and grounds related to the pump. If you do have a good ground and power going to it, the pump is dead.

How do I check fuel pump fuse on 1989 gmcs15

The fuel pump relay gets power from the ECM fuse which also powers the computer. So if the check engine light does not come on when you turn the key on, it could be the fuse. But it could also be the pump relay.

MY 90 BIRD WILL NOT RUN UNLESS I POUR FUEL IN THE INJECTORS MYSELF.once the fuel runs out it dies

Is there gas in the tank? Many GM fuel gauges have shown half-full when in actuality, the tank has run dry. Check injector circuits with a noid light or regular test light to see if the light flashes. If the light flashes, but the injectors are not spraying, check fuel pressure with a gauge. If no fuel pressure, ensure that the fuel pump fuse is not blown (many GM cars have the fuel pump fuse in an inline fuse holder) If the fuse is good, check that the fuel pump is receiving power and ground (positive and negative) If it is, and there is still no fuel pressure, the pump is bad, and the gas tank will have to be dropped to get the pump out. Good Luck.
