SOURCE: Dump Valve Seat Leon Cupra 1.8T

As you may know your car already has a dump valve, all turbo cars are fitted with one so its a matter of swapping, but beware if you do not fit a recirculating dump valve you may find a warning light on your dashboard as the ecu will register the drop in pressure as a leak, also you may find your performance will be worse, not better as the waste gases in a recirculatory dump valve are forced back in to keep the turbo spinning, so less lag

I just did the valve clearance on the engine of my SJ413 that has the 1000cc engine of an SJ410 :
When cold: 0.13mm Intake and 0.18mm Exhaust
Engine sounded well and worked fine after that.

Ok so I have a 1996 golf gti and for some reason it will blow out this really thick cloud of white smoke when I try to step on it and go fast it happends every time in second gear when I hit 4,000 rpm but...

First thing - How Many Miles does this Golf Have?
Which engine does it have?
Diesel? Smoke on acceleration indicates the injection pump may need attention.
Gas Engine? Don't believe a turbocharger was a factory option - so - smoke on acceleration is probably piston rings - usually happens after a lot of miles. Best way to confirm that is by running a compression test - dry/wet test - warm up engine, check compression (dry part) - then - add a couple squirts of oil to the cylinder and check compression again.
If the added oil increases compression by 20 to 30 PSI or more / you have compression ring issues.
Let me know if this helps you out
thanks

I would suggest trying to purge the air from the fuel lines by loosening the fuel lines at the injectors (if possible) and cranking the engine for a moment or two, then tightening the lines, try to start the car, if it starts, loosen the injector fuel lines again while it's running, one injector at a time, to purge any remaining air. I hope this helps, and good luck.

Problem Temp of the galloper 2001

Please be as specific and give as many details as you can. The antifreeze should take around 20minutes to come to running temperature. And running temperature should be between 190 to 210 degrees.
If Your car has become a fuel guzzler you will need to find out why. Gather as muck info as you can. How does the car start? Does smoke come out of the exhaust at an idle or at high idle? And if so what color is the smoke? Does the car idle uneven or rough? Is the engine light on and if so have you had the codes read? Auto-zone will do it for free. Is this car turbo charged? A defective turbo or air-leak, clogged air-filter, defective EGR valve, bad fuel-injector, or bad motor oil can cause poor mileage. I would like to help you but I need more information. Please let me know and good luck.
