Probably getting air in hydraulic system for clutch. Need to bleed it and if that don't fix it one of your parts is failing

This is the same problem I've been having on my Maxima. I'll have to try and bleed it to see if that works. If not, I'll just take it to a shop my friend sent me a link for,http://www.chatswoodbrake.com.au. I've had this car for years and would like to keep it in good condition for my family.

Pilot bearing (pressed into flywheel) or release bearing (presses against clutch pressure plate)?
Regardless, the repair is the same. Replace clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing & pilot bearing. Most flywheels are available or as part of a complete kit, minimum is to inspect & resurface flywheel when replacing clutch assymbly.

2004 dodge ram 1500 with the 3.7L V6 5 speed manual. The truck drives and shifts fine but after driving for a while it won't be able to shift into or out of any gear.

the reason for hard shifting and selection when running is that the clutch shaft ( input shaft) is still turning even though the clutch pressure plate is released
it can be from oil/grease on the fly wheel /pressure plate face causing it to stick when hot
it may be from sticking clutch plate on the splines binding when hot
or it could be a dry spigot bush or failed bearing in the end of the crankshaft that positions the clutch shaft
check the pedal height adjustment and the position it is from the floor when starting to engage
It may be adjustment under the dash

Engine revs but no acceleration

Clutch plate and pressure plate seem to be too weak to pull the car. Or one of the CV joints is detached from the gear box. To test the clutch plate, park the car on flat surface. Pull the hand brake up, start the car, depress the foot brake pedal, depress the clutch pedal, put the car in 1st gear, press the gas pedal and leave the clutch pedal at once, while keeping the brake pedal depressed.
Follow one of the two following statements:
1. Engine does not shut down and remain start. (Clutch plate, pressure plate and clutch bearing defective - Replace all as a set)
2. Engine shuts down. (Clutch system is OK and does not require any repair).

I have no pressure in my clutch unless i sit there and pump the clutch. Then I have pressure but still cannot put the stick in gear. Then, the brake pedal stiffened up. What is happening? Is it the ma

When you press the pedal, that pumps the clutch master cylinder and sends fluid to the clutch slave cylinder which pushes the clutch plate to disengage. Therefore you have a leak at either or both master and slave cylinder. look for fluid dripping and low level in the reservoir of the master cylinder (up near the clutch pedal)

We have a manual transmission Isuzu Trooper 1995, the gears will not change but car starts and drives in this one gear. The clutch is fine, doesn't stick or anything. What might the problem be?

The pressure plate to the clutch is not dis-engaging the tranny...most likely need a pressure plate and clutch change...Hope this helps.

1984 Buick Skylark - 4 cylinder clutch problems

sounds like it needs the clutch replaced. Anytime it slips, it's because it's lose enough material that the pressure plate can't keep enough tension on the clutch plate and the flywheel. Likely, it was slipping and overheated, causing it to smoke(and probably smelled like someone grinding metal with an angle grinder.) This needs a clutch change, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and a flywheel surfacing. There is no adjustment for these; the play only increases until it slips.

Clutch was slipping real bad, changed gears just fine. Took it to a garage, installed new clutch kit, Drove it home still slipping, so I replaced slave cylinder, great for about a week started slipping...

check the clutch linkage and make sure it'd not binding and di you replace the pressure plate? if not then it will need to be replace to stop the slipping if the linkage is not sticking or jamming. If the pressure plate springs are broke it would cause it to slip, also if the master cylinder is not releasing this could cause it to slip.
