Question about Cars & Trucks
Renault Espace 2.2 dci 2004. Ran ok without any issues. Couldn't start in the morning, engin spinning but not fired. Cam belt is ok. I've got fuel coming out of return pipe. I undon the little pursuer or non return valve on fuel pump and clean it and I started up. I was driving all day but next day the same problem but clean the same valve and nothing. I've noticed that fuel inlet pipe is empty look like it's gone back to the tank. Any ideas ? Please help. Thank you
Fuel line may have a pin hole or damaged seal in it allowing air to get in and causing no fuel.

sounds like the dreaded renault immobiliser ,in which case its dealer only as software encrypted.whats happening is the immobiliser is stopping it from starting when key is in start position cranking but it will go with a bump as starter motor key position not activated .try a wire from battery to small connector on starter motor .if it starts which i think it will then you know what to do ...old fashioned way with a push button.but are you getting prepared to lay the golden egg ???just in case

usual problem ,valves in injector worn for the fuel pump.easy quick fix this one ,fit a non return valve in the inlet pipe, check flow direction on valve when fitting and evan better as well is another in the bleed off return pipe .valves available from a motor factor or a specialist garage like bosch or lucas ,cut pipe and fit the valve with a piece of rubber pipe to connect the valve in line.or listen to the people who want to milk the golden cow and have the whole injector pump overhauled .
