SOURCE: 1997 Plymouth Breeze won't start...has no spark

pretty har to say at this point, help me by telling what u checked and how u checked it. What engine is in the car?

The no spark issue could be any of the following: distributor, dist. cap, rotor, plug wires, spark plugs and engine coil.
Check the engine coil to make sure it isn't cracked, u can easily find it by following the center plug wire from the distributor cap.
I am not the most familiar with chrysler products myself, though i used to be a mechanic. I will look into this for you, but until i find a more precise answer, i am inclined to say it is the engine coil. I will get back to u very soon.
How did this problem occur? Did u come home one night and then car never restarted or did it stall somewhere as u were driving?
What i'm really interested in is knowing how you checked the engine spark.

SOURCE: plymouth breeze

Yes, I had this on my 97 Stratus....could be a couple of things....one, the there may be damage to the wire connector harness going to that sensor. That was the problem with mine. I replaced the cam sensor, crank sensor, coil pack, mas sensor..etc...it ended up being a burnt spot on the wire harness. They said this is a common problem for the stratus/breeze/cirrus/intrepid.....the most it could be is a bad ECM....there is a bad pin on it located half way down the side where the big connector is. It is the silver block with the big wire harness going to it in the engine compartment. Try wiggling that around...the harness area.

Mi carro plymouth breeze 1997 se me apago y no tiene chispa en las bujias que sera?

YOu need to look on you tube. Either the coil is bad. This generates the spark. Or it is the signal which times the coil. This could be the computer or an input to the computer.

Plymouth breeze wiring diagram

Visit the autozone.com website and register the car information. It doesn't cost anything and you will gain access to an online repair manual for the car. The wiring diagrams should be available there and the manual is a handy resource for anyone doing their own maintenance. I hope you find it helpful. Best wishes.

Most probably ur crank position sensor or the pick-up coil is defective (or nearly). What that does is the computer knows where the No.1 cylinder is so that he knows when to send the spark to the correct spark plug. Now ur computer doesn't seem to know where the No.1 cylinder is, so he fires at random. Eventually the spark lands at the right place at the right time, hence ur engine is long to start.
That is my best guess.

My 1997 plymouth breeze started fine at lunch but after work it turned over but would not start

most probably no gas or no spark. When u turn the key to the ON position, do u hear the fuel pump for 2 seconds? If u do, then u most probably have no spark. To test the spark, u go to an autoparts strore, buy a spark tester. Plug this to the No.1 cylinder ( its at the far end opposite of the tranny) plug wire (dont remove the sparkplug, just the wire). Find urself a good ground to plug the sparktester to and ask a friend to turn the engine over and check to see if u see a spark.
Hope this helps.
